iPod Loading 101

If you've ever been curious about the iPod loading mini-industry, or if you've found yourself the unofficial iPod loader for the entire extended family, then you owe it to yourself to read Birth of an Industry: IPod Loading by Jennifer 8. Lee (I too want a number for a middle name). After reading this article, all that you'll need is a hastily written business plan and a whole lot of spam-like advertising to start down the road to entrepreneurship. And if you're iPod loading for family members my advice is to start charging them. A lot. They can't say no to your rude and inflated demands for money and then they'll never ask you to do it again.

Thanks to Jim again.

iPod Loading is definitely becoming more popular as people realise the time involved in doing it themselves.

People who are going to use the services should be aware though that there is a big difference between a professional service and someone doing it from their bedroom.

It is unlikely that someone running it from their bedroom can afford to run error checking on every single CD and they certainly won’t include cover arts like the more professional services do.

You would have also thought that most bedroom operations would be cheaper, but this often seems to be far from the case.
