An iPod is a Bad Choice, You Do Not Want an iPod

Waking up to an article like this one just got my day off right. Even though I try my best to hide it, an article like this rouses those feelings of aggravation I have towards Microsoft that I've developed over countless hours sitting in front of a Windoze machine waiting for it to boot up, or shut down, or install an update, or open Windows Explorer, or create a new folder... Leander Kahney writes Hide Your IPod, Here Comes Bill. This article details how the iPod and its telltale light grey (it's really not white if you look at it closely) headphone cable has become prevalent even on the Microsoft campus. The article quotes Robert Scoble, a Microsoft manager, "There are frequent communications within the company about why it's a bad choice... So many people have chosen the iPod, executives feel they should send out memos about it." I think it's too late to bury your head in the sand on this one, guys. The article quotes one anonymous employee, "Even though it's Microsoft, no one is interested in what we have to offer, even our own employees." Somebody buy that man a beer.
