- "Best Interpretation of iPod Shuffle as Food" contest at Mike Davidson's blog: Create an iPod shuffle as food and take a picture of it. Send it in and win the real thing. Mine would be made from a celery stick with a radish control circle. Simple and vegetarian, just the way I like it.
- Duke University Renews iPod Initiative via TMO: So glad this has proved valuable to the university. Only 36% of students said they used their iPod for school, but I think that's pretty good for a first year, as I would assume that teachers as well as students were still exploring ways to integrate them into the ciriculum. Duke is going to shift the distribution from a class-based system (all freshmen) to a course-based system. Guess which courses will see increased enrollment? I once took a class in college from the English Lit department all about ambient music. How cool is that?!
- The countdown for the extinction of CDs is about to begin at Blog Maverick the Mark Cuban Weblog: People have been talking about all-digital music distribution for a while now, but Mark's take on it is not only passionate, but also makes good business sense. "...if Im a band selling on my own, I’m carrying a laptop to every show, and charging 5 bucks to drop a show on an IPod. Call it concertpodding."
