iPod iconology, or all of the graphics that you DON’T want to see displayed on your iPod
Apple has posted a Knowledge Base article entitled, "iPod iconology or what does this picture on my iPod mean?" that lists all of the different graphics that can appear on your iPod. Now, most of these indicate a type of problem that the iPod is experiencing, and that's never a good thing. But it's been my experience that unless something catastrophic happens to the little bugger, the iPod is usually pretty easy to troubleshoot and fix.
