Tunewear unleashes the Tetran, earbud eating commences

tunewear_tetran.jpg

Tetran is a terrifying little monster cleverly disguised as a earbud cable winder. When you're not looking, Tetran eats your earbuds, then you can simply wind the undigested cable around his spiked, spherical body and it creates a neat little package. Comes in the menacing colors of pink, green, yellow, and orange and sells for $13.

Afternoon Links

ipodnanocase.jpg
- New nanos nuzzled in nest: Apple is now shipping new iPod nanos with a simple sleeve case similar to the one included with 5G iPods.

- iPod shuteye: Apple has posted an interesting knowledge base article entitled, iPod: About Sleep, Deep Sleep, Hibernation, and Sleep Timer. "If the iPod or iPod mini is left in sleep for about 36 hours, it will fall into deep sleep..."

- 5G iPods selling like, well, iPod nanos: Seems that people like 'em.

- iPods - collect them all!: In an article at CNN ("Market growing for used iPods") they talk about the iPod market as it begins to mature, what people are doing with their older iPods, and even how some are trying to collect the mini in all colors. In my mind there is nothing wrong with a used, older iPod as long as the battery is still good. Also of note, the article says that approximately 30 percent of iPod purchasers are repeat buyers.

- When your iPod is having a really bad day: ESS Data Recovery iRecovery service can recover lost data on your iPod.

iPoditude Review: Pivot Silicone Case For iPod nano

In iPod-time the silicon case is a classic. Molded to fit the iPod's contours exactly, the silicon case, or "skin" as us hipsters are apt to call it, is protective, light, and depending on the color (i.e. not pink), looks cool too. If ever an iPod was fit for a skin, the iPod nano is just crying out for it. So when Pivot offered some skins for a product review I thought I'd check them out. Read on for the full story.

iPoditude Review: WaterField Designs iPod nano case

Indium nylon is what they call it. It's this really cool nylon that WaterField Designs uses in their cases and bags. The iPod gear pouch and small iPod gear pouch has trim made from it, but this new iPod nano case is just covered in it, you could say ensconced in it, even. Despite the great materials and a thoughtful design, I found using the new WaterField Designs iPod nano case to be a mixed bag (get it?). Read on for the full review.
