Podcast information weekly review
![]()
Of course, with the release of iTunes v4.9, this week was all about the podcast. You may have noticed that I don't talk a lot about podcasts on iPoditude, and that's mostly because when I plug into my iPod, I usually want to listen to music. Simple as that. But because I hate American FM radio and I'm all for giving the little guy a voice, I think podcasting is a great idea. Since Apple has made it so easy now, I've started getting into some podcasts. I have to say that chapters rule! And the images-by-chapter feature is great too.
So, here are a bunch of links that I compiled through the week that contain more technical information about podcasts:
- Podcasting Frequently Asked Questions at the Apple KB: FAQ from the Mother Ship.
- Podcast support on the iPod: Good illustrations of a podcast and chapters on a B&W iPod courtesy of a bloke named Fraser Speirs.
- iTunes 4.9 Chapters in Depth at TUAW: Not really that "in depth", but it's a good explanation of the wonders of chapters in AAC files.
- Interview with Apple CEO Steve Jobs at ABC News: Hear (or read) what The Man has to say about it all.

New Podcasts

First, we've got the Pete and Geoff Virgin Radio Breakfast Show, which is the first Podcast of a daily radio show in the UK. I haven't heard these grebos, but they look like they would be interesting to listen to.
PublicRadioFan.com has set up a Podcast Directory that lists all of the public radio shows available in Podcast form. Choose from a large selection of international radio shows. Broaden your horizons and your brain.
